(Apparently an Indian fashion innovation the English copied in the 17th century).

Last week I was fortunate to have lunch with 3 ex-members of the IBM partner community. Accompanying them on many IBM trips to Austin and Fort Lauderdale back in the 80s and 90s, we always managed to include a game of golf. So, we set up an IT Golf Society called the IWGS, which later became the WITS. We had our own logo and headed paper (see pic) and held 4 or 5 society events around the country each year, the first in October 1992. Starters on that day were from esteemed companies such as Tetra, Multisoft, Systems House, Sphinx, CST and Panacea.
