In a recent article published by Andrea Miner, director, Consulting Services, Data, Analytics and IoT Solutions, Andrea discussed the staggering amounts of data that are being generated daily - 2.5 quintillion bytes... 2.5 quintillion proof points that underscore the transformative state the world is going through.

Most likely, you’ve seen the advertisements or know a friend or family member who recently leveraged one of the many ancestry and/or DNA tests available on the market. These tests not only provide insight into family lineage but also shed light onto genetic predispositions. 

As the Internet of Things (IoT) gains popularity with consumers, OEM’s and retail space consumers are seeing the additional value IoT brings to everyday products. I recently attended Xperience2015 by LogMeIn and was blown away by the plethora of OEM’s that are adding value to their products with beacons and sensors.  For example, I recently saw a pill bottle that connects to your home network and reminds you when to take your medications.  The type of creativity going into these products raises a fundamental question…how can VARs tap into this growing market?
