Social Media: The Great Equalizer
It’s no secret that the technology industry, and more specifically the cloud industry, is growing at a fast rate. With advancements, new platforms, and even more features, it can be hard to keep up.Social media is a significant tool in today’s world. It is being used to communicate information, provide updates, and share all kinds of digital media, including text and images. Using social media to quickly distribute new information can keep consumers, partners, and other individuals knowledgeable of what exactly is going on in the technology and cloud industry. To stay relevant and maintain a steadfast presence in your industry, it’s important to ensure that your content is engaging, concise, and timely. That alone can be a difficult task to manage, but it can also set you apart as a trustworthy industry expert. By developing your social media strategy, you can enhance your marketing efforts in the best way.
We recognize that doing something different can be intimidating, so here are a couple of our
recommendations to diversify your social media presence:
- Podcasts – Podcasts are a great and unique way to change up your social media and catch users’ attention. Through podcasts, you can give a more personal feel to your brand and dive into different topics or conversations that might be useful or interesting to customers and others in the industry.
- Live Tweets – Scheduling a live tweeting session is always a great way to increase engagement and interaction. Set up some thought-provoking and intriguing questions and enjoy the responses! Also, introduce yourself and your expertise, offering insightful guidance to your followers.
- Graphics/Images – Creating branded graphics and using images can go a long way! Most people would rather look at a picture or read information from an image. Using design elements and graphics can catch the audience’s attention, while also ensuring that your profile is attractive.
- Videos – Recording videos or using animated videos can also add unique value to your social media. In fact, 82 percent of Twitter users watch video content on Twitter and about one-third of online activity is spent watching videos. Using a video to portray your message is a great way to increase interaction and create interest with your audience. Also, by including closed captions in videos, you can ensure that your audience is receiving the message even if they’re not able to listen.
Even though expanding your social media presence can be challenging in such a rapidly growing industry, it can also add value to your business and your product. While it makes your brand more personal to customers, it also allows you to gain feedback and increase engagement with new and current customers. Don’t be afraid to add social media to your marketing efforts or test out a new strategy – it could very well be the change you needed to stand out in this industry.
