Sponsored by Microsoft:  Meet the New Corner Office

Work Remote is Here to Stay. Are You Ready?
Recently, I equated the feeling of going back into the office to going back to high school after college or moving back in with your parents after living on your own. There is no question that there is much to miss about the in-office environment. Yet suddenly, the idea of reinstating morning traffic and traditional work attire everyday seems…uninspiring.

So, how does to today’s workforce stay inspired? We move forward. We innovate, employ modern technology and embrace the new normal. We keep the workforce inspired. Let us show you how with modern solutions from Microsoft.

Get a Better Understanding of Today’s Remote Landscape
Discovering new ways to support customers’ changing business needs is a critical part of engaging and supporting the workforce. In fact, a recent study concluded that 75% of workers say their employers don’t give them access to the latest technology to do their jobs efficiently[1]. Even so, customers need incentives to adopt new technology, especially in times of rapid change and economic uncertainty. Here is some food for thought:

  • Management: Organizations need to simplify the transition to remote work. To add value, new devices should ease their management burden, help them control costs and work with and support their existing IT assets (including software and network infrastructure).
  • Remote collaboration and inclusivity: To tap the talent of a diverse workforce, organizations need more than collaboration tools. Accessibility features, personalization options, an array of form factors, longer battery life and better connectivity can help organizations better engage and work with remote employees.
  • Expanded remote worker roles: Many job functions now occur at remote locations at least part time. For this, workers need the right technology. For example, firstline workers – such as customer service associates – work from home. Field technicians spend even less time in the office, while restaurants and retail organizations have adopted or expanded delivery models.

Get to Know the New Corner Office
With the greater freedom that working from home can provide, comes greater pressure to succeed. Having the tools to stay productive virtually anywhere has never been more prevalent. For me, this means modern 2-in-1 device with Windows 10 Pro, a large monitor and transforming a corner of my room into focused work space – which I affectionately refer to as my “corner office.”

Much like my work space, customizing my devices also transforms my work experience. Features like Windows Hello, touchscreen and One Drive allow me to work more efficiently and intuitively. A modern solution can empower people to keep doing great things whether working onsite or from their own corner office.

The New Boardroom
Across multiple industries, collaboration is the keystone for innovation and prosperity. As organizations shift to remote work, the ability to collaborate is imperative, and workflows must continue without missing a beat.

Your new boardroom may be a kitchen island or a dining room table. Your dog may even be present! In a hub like Teams, employees can conduct all of their meetings and collaborate on files. They can access dashboards and projects in a powerful experience.

Modern is Confident
The confidence you need to work from anywhere and stay on top of your business lies in the modern solution. It’s the key to empowering a more productive, easy, and secure way for remote work.
